CuSi-3 soldering was much easier than welding (no burning through the thin metal any more). We used a teflon core, CuSi-3-soldering wire, pure argon, 12.8V at 52 amps and the machine’s “aluminum program”.
The whole thing comes in at around 250g - so it’s lighter than a lot of the titanium “ultra light” hobos with similar power…
Cost: Approximately 5€.
